Learn about Roger's Bar‑B‑Que's rich history
Founded in early 1945 by John and Mae Rodgers in West Point, Georgia, Roger's Bar‑B‑Que has remained passionate about delivering authentic Southern Bar-B-Que through generations. In the 1950s, Richard and Mary Alice Rodgers carried on the same home-style cooking before retiring in the early 1980s. Under new ownership by Howard Birchfield and later Eddie Striblin, the business expanded from a single take-out location to multiple full-size dine‑in restaurants. In 1999, the Hogansville location opened under the care of Randy Striblin, continuing a legacy of pit-cooked ribs, pork, brisket, and catfish, plus legendary Southern sides and desserts—from lovingly hands-cranked Brunswick stew to nostalgic banana pudding and peach cobbler. With decades of dedication, Roger's has become a beloved neighborhood Bar-B-Que restaurant—known as a local favorite for its cozy, family‑friendly feel, relaxed vibe, and mouthwatering tradition.
